In Al-Hol & Al-Roj camp, there are vulnerable Australian women and children currently being detained.

We are asking the Government to bring them home. The majority of the Australians in camp are under 5 years old. 400 children have died on their way to the camp or in the camp itself. It is only a matter of time before an Australian dies. The conditions in the camp are shocking. The women and children are suffering from malnutrition, dehydration and a lack of access to sanitation and healthcare.

They’ve suffered acute deprivation, witnessed violence and bombardment. They are traumatised and need to be moved to safety.

The Australian Government has run out of excuses and should immediately accept the offer from the United States (USA), the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and Kurdish Autonomous Administration in repatriating our citizens. The offer to help means that any risk to Australian officials in the Middle East is minimised. Likewise, the strict control orders to which the women have consented will mitigate any risk to Australians at home. Detaining these Australians in Syrian camps is inhumane, arbitrary and unlawful. These women and children are running out of time!

It’s only a matter of time before an Australian dies in the camp.

These women & children are running out of time.
They are Australians and need to be brought home!
